Alphabetischer Katalog des historischen Buchbestands der Ev.-Luth. Kirchgemeinde Pirna in der Stadtkirche St. Marien: Erstellt im Rahmen der Masterarbeit „Der historische Buchbestand der Ev.-Luth. Kirchgemeinde Pirna in der Stadtkirche St. Marien“

Der vorliegende Katalog stellt die bibliothekarische Formalerschließung des historischen Buchbestands der Kirchenbibliothek der Ev.-Luth. Kirchgemeinde Pirna in der Stadtkirche St. Marien dar. Basierend auf der geleisteten Erschließungsarbeit, deren Ergebnis der alphabetische Katalog darstellt, wird in der zugehörigen Masterarbeit an der HTWK Leipzig der genannte Bestand hinsichtlich seiner Entwicklung, Geschichte und Herkunft untersucht. Historisch lässt sich der Buchbestand in drei Schichten gliedern: 1. der bis 1714 in der Sakristei der Marienkirche aufbewahrte ursprüngliche Bestand der Kirchenbibliothek, 2. die im Jahr 1714 gestifteten Bücher der Sammlung Johann Heinrich Großmanns und 3. vereinzelte Schenkungen und Anschaffungen nach 1715.:Abteilung 1: Vollständige Druckschriften Abteilung 2: Fragmentarische, nicht identifizierbare Druckschriften Abteilung 3: Selbständige und beigebundene Handschriften Standortkonkordan

Los Commentarii urbani de Raffaele Maffei Volterrano. Sentido, forma y edición de una enciclopedia latina del Renacimiento

Se estudian y editan los Commentarii urbani de Raffaele Maffei Volterrano (1451-1522), obra de compilación de datos de cultura clásica extraídos de las fuentes grecolatinas, producto del humanismo romano. Comprenden tres partes: [1] ‘Geographia’, geografía e historia antiguas; [2] ‘Anthropologia’, diccionario de personajes de la Antigüedad clásica y coetáneos del autor; [3] ‘Philologia’, materias diversas de cultura clásica, incluido un compendio de las obras de Aristóteles. La información se ofrece ordenada, estructurada y reelaborada en relación con las fuentes originales, con vocación de totalidad. Los Commentarii se inscriben en el género enciclopédico y participan de rasgos típicos del repertorio y la miscelánea. Desde 1506, fueron reeditados diez veces a lo largo del siglo XVI. Een biografie van de Bibliotheca Vossiana

The library which Leiden University bought in 1690 from the heirs of Isaac Vossius (1618-1689) had a reputation with his contemporaries to be the best and most complete private library of its time. This acquisition of more than 700 manuscripts and about 4,000 printed books doubled the Academy’s collections at one stroke and made an architectural extension for the library necessary. The private collector Isaac Vossius had more means and resources at his disposal to keep up with the scientific developments of his time than the librarian of the institutional library of the university. Books by Galilei, Descartes and Newton became available in the Leiden University Library for the first time in 1690. Reconstructing the medical, philosophical and mathematical sections of Vossius’s library provides insight in the sources he may have used for his own scholarly production, which he wrote during the second half of his life. A careful analysis of the printed books reveals many provenances of contemporary scholars and earlier bookcollectors. It shows to what extent Isaac Vossius stood on the shoulders of men like Joseph Scaliger, Hugo Grotius, his own father Gerardus Johannes Vossius and many others of which he owned books and manuscripts.NWOMedieval and Early Modern Studie
